Sterner AS has selected PG Flow Solutions to deliver 15 pump methods for the new smolt facility that it’s building for Sande Settefisk in Sandane, Norway.
The new facility will increase annual smolt (salmon and rainbow trout) manufacturing from one million to 5 million at the company’s web site in Sandane.
PG Flow Solutions will provide 9 of its giant circulation pumps and 6 pumps for stripping CO2 from water.
The circulation pumps are capable of pumping large volumes of water with low stress. They shall be used to pump fresh water into the RAS (recirculating aquaculture system) facility’s three departments. The CO2 stripper pumps will help ensure strong production and low levels of organic waste on the facility.
The plant could have three departments, each with a maximum feeding of 1500 kilograms per day. It will include a hatchery with RAS know-how and two grow-out departments, one with a flow-through system and one with RAS technology.
“This is an bold funding by Sande Settefisk. We are very proud to be chosen as subcontractor to Sterner, who has constructed up a robust status for delivering fish-friendly water therapy options,” mentioned Øyvind Berg, vp of gross sales and advertising at PG Flow Solutions.
The pump methods will be assembled and examined at PG Flow Solutions’ fabrication and check facility in Sande, Norway.
