FLSmidth to supply mineral processing technologies for zinc-lead concentrator in Kazakhstan

FLSmidth has signed a DKK950 million contract with ShalkiyaZinc to produce mineral processing gear, including mill circuit pumps, for a greenfield zinc-lead concentrator at its zinc and lead mine in the Kyzylorda area of Kazakhstan.
The gear will rework the plant right into a world-class facility that efficiently separates minerals with a minimised environmental influence.
FLSmidth will supply two underground crushing stations with a materials handling system to the method plant, a full package deal of comminution and separation gear, together with SAG and ball mills, mill circuit pumps and cyclones, the zinc-lead focus flotation and regrinding circuit, together with nextSTEP, VXP vertical mills, concentrate thickeners, and Pneumapress filters, reagents preparation and dosing space. เกจวัดแรงดันแบบแห้ง is also included, in addition to set up and commissioning supervision providers. The new concentrator might be supported from FLSmidth’s new service supercentre in Karaganda.
Equipment delivery might be accomplished throughout 2024, with commissioning set to start by the tip of that 12 months.
“We are excited to receive this first order from ShalkiyaZinc, which highlights our full flowsheet expertise,” says Mikko Keto, Group CEO at FLSmidth. “The big selection of equipment included within the order will help ShalkiyaZinc save on each CAPEX and OPEX; our new nextSTEP flotation know-how will improve the standard of the concentrates, the SAG mill will present extra flexibility, whereas the automation and digital solutions will additional enable water and power savings alongside safer operations.”
“After testing and fundamental design work executed by FLSmidth, we are happy to enter this new phase of collaboration with the procurement of crucial technologies to improve the productiveness and sustainability of our plant,” says Assel Rakhimova, chief venture director of Tau-Ken Samruk. “We believe in successful execution and sit up for receiving the ordered gear according to the schedule for set up and to proceed working with FLSmidth on commissioning services and spare elements.”
